Appendix 1. Chronology
Since the chronology of what happened in connection with me losing my job is important to be able to assess the reports that have been made, I would like to clarify the sequence of events:
Easter Monday, April 1
I get a text from Boethius with a number of screenshots from my open facebook, with the text (as I remember it) ‘How the hell can you work at the Energy Agency?’
Tuesday, April 2
At 9-10.30 meeting with my head of unit where I am informed that several people at the authority have received similar messages from Boethius. He asks a lot of questions about my engagement and what the Mothers Rebellion are. We also talk about the upcoming article that was supposed to be published in Fokus.
At 4 p.m., I am told that my probationary employment will not be extended, but that I can continue to work until the probationary employment expires, a week and a half later.
Wednesday, April 3
The article ‘Climate activist employed in a socially critical position at the Energy Agency’ is published on the Focus website, sometime between 6-7pm.
Thursday early morning April 4 The SvD editorial page publishes Wennblad’s ‘Sweden has an open house for security threats’, where Bohlin is asked to teach the Energy Agency’s GD. During the morning, I will hear from my unit manager what is being said on platform X about the matter.
At 11, my head of department comes to my house with five minutes’ notice and collects my work computer and phone, and I understand it as I have lost my security clearance. There was no discussion (to my knowledge) about the security rating before the Wennblad leader came out.
In the evening, Bohlin and the agency’s GD have a conversation where the GD needs to tell them that they ‘handled the case’. Bohlin publishes his attention-grabbing post on platform X (which I highlighted in chapter 1) shortly before 10:00 pm in the evening.
It can be assumed that that meeting was booked earlier that day. And that the decision to strip me of my security clearance was made in connection with someone realizing that the agency needed to report that the ‘case was handled’ to Bohlin.
Monday, April 8
13.30 – 15.30 I get to come and meet my unit one last time and explain. I start by trying to defend myself but then realize that I don’t need it and feel great support from everyone, except my unit manager who needs justified decisions made. I think it was a very emotional and nice meeting.
At 15.30-18.30 Final security clearance interview/interrogation with my unit manager and one of the authority’s security officers. Accounts for this conversation can be found in chapter 7.
